La chiede il Garante prescrivendo ad Asl e concessionarie di limitare il trattamento dei dati sulla salute dei disabili a quelli strettamente necessari. Trascorsi dieci anni i dati personali, compresi quelli sanitari, se non sussistono altre esigenze di conservazione (es. controversie giudiziarie pendenti) dovranno essere distrutti, cancellati o trasformati in forma anonima.
Il provvedimento fa chiarezza su alcune problematiche presentate al Garante da Federauto in un settore in cui circolano quantita' sproporzionate di documenti e dati delicatissimi, molti dei quali non indispensabili e spesso consegnati spontaneamente dagli stessi disabili. (Fonte Asca)

Concetti chiave di "fruibilità" e "partecipazione attiva della persona", il presidente dell'AISLA ha sottolineato poi come il documento presentato in questi giorni «sia uno strumento che permetterà ai cittadini lombardi not only to see recognized rights, but also to satisfy the needs, stressing the concept of equality. In this sense we can speak of a true cultural revolution. "
